Evergreen State Fair to Host Healthy Communities Day on September 3

MONROE, Wash. – The Evergreen State Fair is continuing a healthy focus at the 117th fair by celebrating healthy living through community connection. On Thursday, September 3, in partnership with the Snohomish County Health Department, the Fair will host Healthy Communities Day from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., inviting fairgoers to explore resources, activities, and organizations that support health and wellness across Snohomish County.
The event will showcase booths, interactive displays, and wellness-related activities throughout the fairgrounds. There will be information about health and wellness, healthy activities for kids, and health resources for people of all ages and backgrounds.
“It is more important than ever for the Health Department to partner with events like ‘Healthy Communities Day’ given healthcare access challenges that continue to grow in our county, state and country,” said Dr. James Lewis, Health Officer for Snohomish County Health Department. “It is essential that communities pull together to support and highlight local resources for health and wellness to keep our communities as healthy as possible.”
“We love creating moments at the Fair that bring people together, and Healthy Communities Day is a perfect example of that,” said Mike Ohlsen, Fair Manager. “It’s a chance for families to have fun, learn something new, and connect with local organizations that support their well-being. September 3 is also Family Day at the fair! We are offering $5 admission and $5 parking ALL DAY! Healthy Communities Day activities are included with regular fair admission.
