LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- NeuraSignal, a medical technology company focused on advancing transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound, today announced the donation of a TCD system to support humanitarian medical aid, physician education, and patient care in Ukraine.

The donated system will travel to Poltava, Ukraine, where it will be used for hands-on physician training during a TCD workshop at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU). The program is officially endorsed by the Neurosonology Specialty Group of the World Federation of Neurology (NSG WFN).

Following the training, the technology is intended to support physicians caring for patients in Ukraine and help expand local expertise in the use of transcranial Doppler ultrasound.

“Ukraine’s physicians continue to provide extraordinary care under incredibly difficult circumstances,” said Robert Hamilton, CEO of NeuraSignal. “We are proud to contribute technology that can not only be put to use in patient care, but also help physicians build expertise that remains within their medical community long after the workshop is over."

Alexander Razumovsky, PhD, FAHA, NVS, President of TCD Global and a member of the Neurosonology Specialty Group of the World Federation of Neurology, will participate in the educational program in Poltava. An internationally recognized expert in transcranial Doppler and cerebral blood flow, Dr. Razumovsky previously founded the TCD services at Johns Hopkins Hospital and has extensive experience applying TCD in military medicine.

“Since the start of the conflict in 2022, the magnitude of military and civilian injuries has made highly skilled, advanced medical training imperative for Ukraine,” said Dr. Razumovsky. “My ten years of experience utilizing TCD with U.S. military personnel demonstrated its clinical utility following wartime traumatic brain injury. This workshop will provide physicians with practical TCD training, with a specific focus on diagnosing and monitoring cerebral vasospasm and intracranial hypertension in patients following wartime TBI.”

The additional donated system will provide necessary equipment for practical instruction. This hands-on workshop aims to broaden physician expertise and strengthen regional neurovascular ultrasound capabilities.

The trip and educational program are being supported in part by Razom for Ukraine, a nonprofit organization whose Razom Health initiative works to strengthen healthcare in Ukraine through the delivery of medical aid, partnerships with healthcare organizations, and medical education and training.

For NeuraSignal, the donation represents an opportunity to extend its mission beyond traditional commercial activities and put its technology and expertise to work where resources and medical education can make a meaningful difference.
